2024 Board Meeting, August 18, 2024, Las Vegas, NV
1, Meeting called to order by President Charlie Hill.

3. Reading and approval of 2023 minutes
4. Voted that all officers must be present at business meeting.
5. Treasure report: Beginning balance – $1006.16; dues collected – $1770; Expenses – $2593.13; balance forward – $183.03. Report accepted.
The following vote was put on the floor. The results are as follows:
a. Is there a limit on host/hostess expenditures? Discussion: No limits but host/hostesses must understand that reimbursement is based on what is in treasury. Voted and approved that there are no limits to host/hostesses expenditures but reimbursement is dependent on balance in treasury, therfore, host/hostesses may not be fully reimbursed.
b. Location for Reunion 2025: Hercules, CA
c, Dates of 2025 reunion: August 15, 16, 17, 2025
d. Hostesses: Brenda Shepard, James Anderson, Patricia Scott
e. Dues deadline was changed to April 25, 2025 to provide better picture of attendance.
f. Dues amount will remain the same but revisited
Other Business:
Website: Mary (PeeWee) will continue to maintain website until after 2024 reunion. The goal after that time is to have someone from the 5th generation take over. Suggestion was made for the Secretary to take over website after 2024 reunion.
2023 Board Meeting, August 19, 2023, Tulare, CA

4. Pat acknowledged Mary (PeeWee) for building and maintaining the family website, Shontay for being treasurer, stated the importance of the younger generation stepping up and being together.
5. Officers elected as follows:
President – Charlie Hill (Jr)
Vice President – Katrina Jeffries
Secretary – Adrianna McKinney
Treasurer – Shontay Moore
Sargent at Arms – Jameia Anderson
Meeting turned over to newly elected President Charlie Hill.
The following vote was put on the floor. The results are as follows:
a. How often will we have the reunion: Every year.
b. Location for Reunion 2024: Las Vegas, NV
c, Dates of 2024 reunion: August 16, 17, 18, 2024
d. Hostesses: Mary (Peewee), Rveeda and Hattie (Nene)
e. Reason for the 3rd Weekend in August – Grandpa’s birthday
f. Next years dates Aug 16, 17, 18, 2024
Other Business:

New Business:
Newly-elected officers will define and construct the rules and duties of all officers, but will consult 4th generation for advice.
Pat will hand over the zoom account information to 2023-2024 reunion secretary.
Bylaws will be created by new officers.
Everyone should send email address and phone number to Adrienne, the Secretary.
Dues were discussed and the dues amount can be found in the Dues section of the website.
Colors were addressed:
Brenda and Peewee agreed that we are one family and that we should all be in the same color for the main day, royal blue and gold lettering.
Jim brought up the Friday night chapter shirts. It was decided that we would not have chapters or chapter colors. We are one family, all descendants of Rufus (Grandpa). We will continue with royal blue with gold lettering. We will wear these shirts on Saturday.

It was emphasized that we start out the Reunion Festivities with Prayer and end in church.
Generations three through seven were in attendance
President Hill asked for comments from each Generation.

President thanked Generation 4 for the example and everything they have done to get us to this point.
Special thanks to Bobby, Nita, Myrtle for all the work to make this reunion a success
PeeWee – We are happy to to turn over the reigns to the next generations. They have the duty to reignite and to keep the love and togetherness that we have always had.
